The Process

Ingot

An ingot is a piece of relatively pure material, usually metal, that is cast into a shape suitable for further processing. In steelmaking, it is the first step among semi-finished casting products.
Re-heating ingot

Reheating of steel is a continuous process. The steel material to be rolled is charged at the entrance of the reheating furnace. The steel material is pushed forward on the hearth of the furnace by means of a pusher machine whose ram is in direct contact with the steel material.
Rolling

In metalworking, rolling is a metal forming process in which metal stock is passed through one or more pairs of rolls to reduce the thickness and to make the thickness uniform.
Cooling

This stage imparts superior straightness in material, improvised metallurgical properties as the bars are uniformity cooled.
Heat Treatment

Heat treatment involves the use of heating or chilling, normally to extreme temperatures, to achieve a desired result such as hardening or softening of a material. Heat treatment techniques include annealing, case hardening, precipitation strengthening, tempering, carburizing, normalizing and quenching.
